Welcome to the first of hopefully many engagement posts. Engagement shoots were one of the first things I stumbled upon when I began to scour the internet for wedding inspiration. I had never heard of them but I wanted one. bad. My fiance is a teeny bit camera shy so we haven’t really gotten around to doing one yet, but I have not ruled out a surprise attack.
These engagement photoshoots seem to be much more popular in the States than they are in the UK, so I was pleasantly surprised to receive an email from Erika and Ryan over at Rowell Photography (although based in Ontario they appear to be world travelers for work and pleasure) about a session they shot in December of last year at the V&A Museum here in London. The bride and groom, Tara and Ryan, had decided to go for a “destination engagement session” which sounds awesome. Why not travel the world and have your photos taken by great photographers in great places? I’m in.
I love the decision to style the shoot with vintage clothes (how cute are Tara’s tights?!?!) and the photos are gorgeous. Congrats to the new couple and thanks for sharing.
