Alternative Wedding Cakes – Jellies by Bompas & Parr

I have always maintained that I am a wedding cake person. Without a doubt, I will be having lots of cake at my own event, and at my best friend’s wedding this past weekend, I had three pieces of hers! So it takes a lot to excite me about desserts that don’t include frosting… But how cool are these wedding jellies?

I came across Bompass & Parr on the guardian website last week and had to email them immediately. While I love cake, I also love colours, and these guys are pretty much the best out there. Their creations are borderline insane and work in teams of “Jelly Technicians.”

I’m not sure how they do it, but they’ve got gorgeously coloured jellies in all shapes and sizes, from the intimate to the absolutely mind boggling immense. They are served in luxurious flavours such as lemonade, strawberry & raspberry, elderflower & summer fruit, black currant & berries and plum & red wine. Further bespoke flavours might include Prosecco & gold, glow-in-the-dark; flaming; absinthe; marbled; and striped clementine jellies!

If you’re looking for something a bit different, and maybe don’t want to go the traditional route, check these guys out! And thanks very much to Sam for sharing these gorgeous photos taken by Chris Terry.
