Thanks very much to Steve Gerrard and Elesha & Dan for sharing this wedding with OMG. I found Steve through various amazing posts over on RocknRoll Bride and am such a huge fan of his work 🙂 One of the reasons this wedding caught my eye, aside from the beautiful people in it of course, is that I am still looking for venues at the moment and find it increasingly difficult to get an idea of a space. Even some of the greatest venues out there leave much to be desired when it comes to their website / marketing materials etc. When I saw some of the church shots that Steve took of this wedding, I was in heaven. How gorgeous is this church?! I love it! Anyway, on to the details now…
A little bit about the bride and groom… Elesha and Dan were married in April this year at St. Bartholomews Church, with their reception held at the Moxhull Hotel in Sutton Coldifeld. Elesha wore an Augusta Jones ‘Bolivia’ dress, Gina ‘Amara’ shoes, and an Ivory & Co tiara with various other diamante jewelry to match, while Dan wore a suit from Moss. I am totally digging the bride and groom shots at the end of this post – Its really nice to have some more modern photos along with the standard romantic poses you might see with other couples.
Elesha’s advice for other brides? (Although I’m not sure how many will be able to follow it due to sheer excitement!) “Get an early night the night before the wedding…”
And any regrets?
“Not having an early night the night before the wedding.”
Best decision made:
“Choosing the date we did (the sunniest day in ages), choosing the venues we did (amazing and so helpful) and choosing the photographer we did – to give us the best record of our day we could wish for.”
Make sure to check out Steve Gerrard’s website as well as his blog, and while you’re at it you might as well head over to RocknRoll Bride for another of my favourite posts about this great photographer.
