OMG at the Browns Bride Peter Langner Trunk Show

OMG, once again, thanks very much to the lovely Mary Herrington of Forever & Ever Events for inviting me to go along with her on one of her many fabulous appointments. This weekend’s trip was to the Peter Langner Trunk Show held by Browns Bride featuring Peter Langner’s most recent collections and the opportunity to meet the designer himself! Peter, who is based in Rome, flew in for the weekend with his gorgeous dresses, and was available all day to discuss his inspiration for each piece. We were both thrilled to find out that many of the dresses were designed around famous architects like Frank Lloyd Wright, for example. Each dress definitely had its own personality and we both found ourselves seduced by some beautiful detailing, especially in the way the dresses were finished in the back. Another great thing about Peter’s work is that he custom makes veils for each of his dresses so that they all have a matching piece with trim / lace or ribbon to complete the overall look.

Peter was extremely friendly and it was a fab and rare opportunity to meet the designer. We not only had a lovely time chatting, sipping champagne and looking around the beautiful Browns Bride shop, but I also got to try on a few pieces myself! As a bride who has tried on her fair share of dresses now, I have to say it felt like Peter really understood a woman’s body. Even though many of his dresses have billowly back detailing, the fit in the front still showed my shape, before extending outwards into the dramatic train. Make sure to have a look at the Peter’s website, the photos below and don’t miss the videos of Peter’s 2010 shows in Milan. Thanks so much to Caroline at Browns and also to Peter for taking the time to spend with us, we had such a great time! Browns hosts wuite a few trunk shows, show check out their events section to see their schedule for the autumn.
