A Eclectic London Wedding at the Dorchester – Laurie & Jeff

I’m am thrilled today to share with the eclectically chic wedding of Laurie & Jeff, planned to perfection by Mary Lee Herrington of Forever & Ever Events and captured by the fabulous Big Picture Company.

A bit about the bride and groom… Laurie and Jeff had their ceremony at the gorgeous St. James Roman Catholic Church in Marlebone followed by a fantastically elegant reception at the Penthouse Pavilion at the Dorchester Hotel. Laurie wore a Caroline Castigliano dress and shoes by Rene Caovilla while Jeff wore a custom tailored navy blue suit with a red bow tie made in Hong Kong. The bridesmaids were dressed in Donna Karan (lucky things!!)

With an overall colour palette of eclectic accents, moss green and hot pink, the penthouse and outdoor terrace were set up for the cocktail reception with an ante room for the private bar. This colour palette was taken through to the floral displays by Hiden Floral Design. After dinner in the pavillion, the penthouse was turned into a sexy jazz lounge with dark red and black linenes, a baby grand piano and a 40’s / 50’s jazz performance by Kitty La Roar and Nick of Time. Last but definitely not least, the cake was a perfectly put together Macaroon Pyramid by none other than Laduree. The week was perfectly planned for out of town guests including a welcome party at La Fromagerie, ladies high tea at the Ritz, rehearsal dinner at Kensington Roof Gardens and a honeymoon send – off brunch at the bride and groom’s flat. Phew!

Advice from the Bride: Stress less, workout more

Any regrets? Not a single one

Best decision made:
Hiring Mary from Forever and Ever events – she thought of everything, kept me sane, and is just a wonderful person!  It wouldn’t have gone as smoothly without her!

Thanks very much to Mary and The Big Picture Company for sharing these photos!
