OMG when this shoot landed in my inbox I literally let out a bit of a scream. I tend to do this sometimes but not very often! I am so so pleased to share with you this gorgeous, saturated, stunning Alice in Wonderland meets Jane Austen photoshoot set up by the lovely Pearl of Pearl & Godiva Vintage China Hire. You might have seen it yesterday on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings as Lou and I both decided to share it with our readers, so head on over to her blog afterwards to see even more amazing shots.
Pearl said “The shoot was a creative and inspirational collaboration – of which the aim was to create the mood of a bygone era – a mood so sweet, faddish and lovable – so fitting for weddings at this moment in time!
The mood was imbued with the unveiling of Jane Austen like characters – our make up artist Kate Rose Crean put it so exquisitely – as if Jane Austen had slipped into Alice in Wonderland’s slippers for a beautiful few hours.”
The shoot took place at Bantry House with the most insanely coloured rooms I have ever seen – how amazing are those blue walls? Awesome. But I’m not finished. You might have also seen that I recently featured a super cool circus inspired shoot by Dirty Fabulous Vintage (if not go immediately after this and check it out!) who were the suppliers of all the accessories and dresses used. Think huge billowy underskirts – laden with lace accessories & pearl earrings – and glamourous granny style bird nest hairdos! LOVE THEM.
Saving the best for last, imagine your wedding guests drinking out of all these gorgeous teacups painted with stunning colours and intricate detail. The exact words in my response email to Pearl were “I WISH YOU WERE IN ENGLAND!” Don’t you? Lastly, I think the white rabbit in the shoot deserves a special mention. How cute! Make sure to check out all the people involved below and have a good one.
