OMG the nest two weeks are FULL of amazing wedding events, HOW exciting! Tonight, of course, is the legendary Rockn’ Roll Bride Party which I am so very excited about attending. Then this weekend, there is the Most Curious Vintage Wedding Fair in Norwich organised by the lovely Becky of A Most Curious Party, and next week don’t forget the Altar-ed Event which you can still get tickets for!!
The Most Curious Vintage Wedding Fair which is taking place in Norwich on 16th April in St Andrews Hall, is now set to be the biggest vintage wedding fair in the UK! With live performances from vintage themed bands, 1940s style glam girl group
Viva La Bop, 50s Doo Wop guy group The Testostatones, and fashion shows with authentic vintage pieces and from Vivien of Holloway who supplied period style gowns to Strictly Come Dancing and Gok’s Fashion Fix. There’s also a burlesuqe style lingerie show choreographed by the Hot Boppin’ Girls! plus over 60 stands of vintage-esque wedding suppliers – making this the biggest vintage wedding fair in the UK.
Here is what Becky had to say about it:
“After planning my wedding from 2006 to 2008 I was totally disheartened by the barren landscape of boring wedding suppliers on offer, to do my husband-to-be and I justice on our big day. Since then things have utterly changed for the better and there are so many great designer, makers, florists, vintage dress companies, photographers, stationers, you name it, on the scene who have changed the face of the wedding industry. So, after the two year hunt for fun inspiring creatives for our wedding as well as a further two years of running a vintage hire and styling company for brides A Most Curious Party, I have set up a wedding fair that hopefully incorporates all these things, uniting expressive vintage-loving brides with expressive vintage-loving suppliers – The Most Curious Wedding Fair. And the creative city of Norwich has got to be the best place for the first ever one – the biggest in Vintage Wedding Fair in the whole of the UK no less!
So, all you wonderful, individual, retro and rockin’ Brides make sure to check out the Most Curious Wedding Fair. With classic cars outside, fabulous fashion and a retro ice cream van, there should be something for everyone.
