Most of you can probably tell that I am into bright colours. I LOVE THEM. In general. But when combined with weddings and engagement shoots I get increasingly excited. When this fabulous Asian vintage inspired engagement shoot landed in my inbox from Shaun and Joy of Beautiful Life Photography, I was a very happy blogger to say the least. I LOVE IT.
Shaun and Joy said “engagement sessions are a great chance to have fun and be creative. For us wedding photographers its often a chance to experiment a bit, you have more time than on a wedding shoot and with a little bit of planning you can create a set of unique and interesting images with a personal touch. This shoot was taken during the couple’s engagement celebration and is totally awesome.
Sunita the bride had previously worked in the film, TV and theatre industry making costumes, props etc and specialising in prosthetics, make-up and animatronics. Hello. That is most awesome. Having worked on films such as Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and theatre productions such as The Lion King I’m sure you can imagine that she wanted to get creative. With a love of all things vintage in planning for the wedding she claims to have overdosed (if possible) on old classic Hindi films and music videos for inspiration, which is of course even more awesome.
Sunita’s sari is from London and while it was new, it still had the vintage feel she was after which was accented by her jewellery. The couple escaped their celebration to take some photos in what looks to be a fabulous store called Dollymix Vintage. LOVE.
