Holey moley, check out the trees in these photos!!! I am obsessed with these amazing shots by Rik Pennington of bride and groom to be, Amanda and Matt. Aren’t they insane? Here is what Rik had to say about the shoot: “Amanda and Matt chose Regent’s Park for their pre-wedding shoot. In the summer I was particularly attracted by the avenues of trees and nodding cow parsley which made it seem much more rural than a typical London park. Since it was early March the park looked very different – the trees were bare and there were a few spring bulbs. So I decided to use the stark structure of the trees as a graphic element and concentrated on the shapes of the bare branches. Towards the end of the shoot the low early spring sun provided some dramatic late afternoon shadows.”
OMG. I love the way Rik used the trees to frame the shots and the branches are so awesomely graphic in nature it makes me want to cry. Although the trees are bare, the park still feels like it is another world outside of London’s hustle and bustle. And how can I not mention the beautiful light at the end? Gorgeous.
Make sure to check out Rik’s website and blog for more info and have a good one!

This engagement shoot in Regents Park is just stunning! My office used to overlook the park and I have a special bond with the place – having walked it every day. The park had wonderful features all through the seasons and you have captured its spirit perfectly. What a lovely, natural couple to photograph. The stark branches add such drama. Thanks for sharing them. Best wishes to Amanda and Matt. Regards, Julia http://www.vintagetiarasbyjuliabeazley.com
