Today I have a lovely San Francisco based wedding dress shoppe called Daughters Of Simone to share with you! Here is what the two lovely ladies, Brittany and Christy, behind the business had to say:
What started out as a seemingly small company and has quickly grown over the last few months. In addition to receiving rave reviews from our brides we were just featured in the San Francisco Huffington Post (thus far, our big claim to fame). Over all, we’ve been incredibly inspired with this little niche wedding market (that seems to be most popular between our two homelands!), and we want to connect with others who are apart of it also. Because your blog is centered around beautiful weddings, it would be an honor if you would consider mentioning us in an upcoming blog post.
“Brittany and Christy met by the alignment of a mutual friend, believing San Francisco art lovers would make a great duo (ironically, the first meeting was a bachelorette party). What began as a blind date of encounter quickly grew into a genuine admiration for one another. Instantly, the two began discussing dreams and aspirations over weekly dinners, and ideas began to go wild…
Feeling disconnected with the sameness of today’s traditional bridal gown, they both found themselves at a loss as to where they would be able to find their own dream gown, if the day came that they would be looking. Since both found qualities of individualism, creativity, and beauty in vintage clothing, they explored the possibilities of vintage bridal. They envisioned their woman as a rare bird, someone who would breathe new life into “the dress” and feel that it represented the entirety of her essence — this is the inspiration behind Daughters Of Simone.”
Stunning and totally ethereal. Can we also please just talk about the beautiful illustrations I found on their Facebook page? Love the combination of photography and ink. Make sure to check out the Daughters Of Simone website for more details!
