OMG. It’s Chocolate Week and I am mega excited. While not entirely hitting the nail on the wedding head, cakes are cakes and I love pretty much everything Canada based Sweetapolita posts on her blog. Gone are the days when you need to have a fruit cake for your wedding if you don’t want one just because it’s tradition! Make sure to check out the asparagus cake I posted about earlier this year that Rosie created and loads more inspiring cakes, cookies and delicios photos. Plus. RECIPES.
Today I’m happy to share with you links to 3 fabulous choca-licious ideas if you want to get into the festivities.
I recently met a bride who was having an American / English themed wedding with the rehearsal dinner being held at a campsite. The couple were going to have s’mores around the campfire following an American style barbeque to emphasize the bride’s background followed by an English style ceremony and reception the next day. Why not serve one of Rosie’s 6-Layer Rich Chocolate Malted & Toasted-Marshmallow Cake as well? YUM. Rosie also has a cupcake version of this recipe.
If your a coffee freak like myself and want something a bit darker, richer and more seductive (might I add?) then go for the Chocolate Expresso Bundt Cake With Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Glaze. The flavours listed alone there make me want to cry with cocoa happiness.
Last but not least, if you like a bit of sweet with your salty, go for the Salted Caramel Chocolate Fudge Cake because it looks and sounds awesome in it’s own right.
Thanks so much to Rosie of Sweetapolita for sharing these awesome recipes and equally delicious photos. Happy Chocolate Week!
