Good morning OMG readers! I cannot be more pleased to share with you this absolutely STUNNING styled shoot by the lovely Melanie of Cranberry Blue Weddings. I pretty much leapt out of my chair when it landed in my inbox and I’m sure you will agree it is pretty gorgeous. Collaborations between suppliers are some of my favourite things to post as they not only bring together some of my favourite people, but also help inspire brides with new, beautiful ideas, just like these.
Melanie says “The look was inspired by feathers and birds, which are both strong new fashion trends that are emerging for next Spring / Summer. Designers such as Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart and Carolina Herrera were amongst those who displayed a whole host of different bird prints this year’s catwalk shows, and Mulberry’s recent A/W campaign helped to shape the beautifully soft colour palette of duck egg, grey and mauve.” Boy do I love a girl who knows her fashion!
Melanie continues… “Although birdcages themselves have been popular for some time, I wanted this shoot to have more of a contemporary edge to it. The use of tall cylindrical glass vases, an unusual colour palette, details such as feather button holes and a statement feather shrug all work together to achieve this.” LOVE IT! Can we talk about the super cute birds nest place settings and the fabulous seating chart? This shoot combines the work of some of my most favourite wedding suppliers ever, hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
