Tuesday Top 10 OMG Posts of the Year!

OMG. It’s almost the end of 2011! How crazy is that?! It will now almost be 2 years since I started the blog and I’m feeling very nostalgic and mushy about all things wedding related. This year has been an incredible one, full of weddings (mine included!) and opportunities to meet people in the industry I never thought I would. Today’s top 10 is a bit self indulgent as it’s all about my favourite events and weddings this year. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading OMG these past 12 months and get ready for even more fabulousness next year!

1. OMG We Got Married
This one is a bit obvious, but being able to blog about our wedding earlier this year had to be one of best things about being a blogger. I was absolutely bowled over by everyone’s amazing comments and it made me feel so happy to have met so many of my readers and fellow industry friends.

2. The Big Fat Wedding Bloggers Photoshoot
Another one of my favourite things about this year, and probably the most influential in the way I have continued to run OMG was the awesome photoshoot Kat of Rockn’Roll Bride set up at Luella’s Boudoir in Wimbledon and shot by Lisa Devlin of Devlin Photos.

3. Altar-ed!
A collaboration with a bunch of absolutely amazing wedding suppliers in London, wedding planner Mary Lee Herrington of Forever & Ever Events and I threw a fabulous vintage inspired Tea Party for brides to be where they could sit and chat all things wedding, try on amazing pieces by milliner Edwina Ibbotson and learn makeup tips from Claire Hanson. 4. Tuesday Top 10 Infographic Wedding Invitations
Designer by day and blogger by night, I am always on the lookout for amazingly designed wedding invitations, and wedding details in general. Earlier this year I couldn’t help but put my favourite infographic inspired wedding invites together for you.

5. Tempting Tables
For those of you who know me personally, you will know I am OB-SESSED with cake, dessert, sweets, anything with sugar or chocolate. Can’t help it. So when I heard from Emily of Tempting Cake this year about her Tempting Tables, I was bowled over that she wanted to share them with me! HOW COOL DO THESE LOOK?

6. MOB Wedding Ninja vs the Paper Goods
This post was just one of many written by MOB (Mother of the Bride) during our preparation for our wedding earlier this year. She was the biggest and best help ever and I could not have had the wedding of my dreams without her.

7. A Super Cool Rockstar Music Madness Wedding – Chris and Charlotte
Easily one of the best weddings I’ve ever been to in my life, Charlotte of Restoration Cake and her husband Chris got married at Bush Hall in a whirlwind of music amazingness. Their reception was back to back musical treats and Charlotte made the wedding cake herself. Incredible.

8. Controversial Cinematic Engagement Shoot – An Affair to Remember
Pretty much anything that lands in my inbox from Art Director Thao Dang of Thaoski is guaranteed to be unbelievable, however this engagement shoot topped them all for me. It’s always so inspiring to see things that are a bit outside the box and this shoot does not disappoint.

9. A Beautiful Mexico Destination Wedding – Talia & Craig
Talia is a good friend of mine as her sister was one of my bridesmaids! She was married earlier this year in a totally GORGEOUS ceremony in Mexico. It was so amazing to be able to feature her incredible day on OMG. Isn’t she stunning?!?!

10. Carolina & Olah’s Bali Destination Wedding
Caroline and I knew each other when we were in fourth grade and then lost touch when we both moved to different countries. Small world as it is, one of my friends here in London was Caroline’s bridesmaid in her incredible Bali wedding this year. We got back in touch and I was honored to feature her.
