After a typically rainy, misty London day yesterday I thought this post would be a perfect example of how to turn a gloomy weather situation into a super sweet engagement shoot. Photographer Lucy of My Heart Skipped said the shoot took place on perhaps the rainiest day last summer in the middle of the driest season in 100 years. Go figure, right?
Here is what Lucy had to say about the shoot… “Amanda is usually very stylish and LOVES her heels however it was pretty much impossible to sport stylish Jimmy Choos in such wet conditions! The two are both really into sport, fitness and outdoor activities (Steve ran the Marathon des Sables across the Sahara Desert last year). They both run together in Knole Park which is a gorgeous National Trust park in Kent, so we knew we wanted to do most of the shots there. The flippers in the end shots have a lot of significance as amazing heels and trainers are a big part of their life so shoes were the theme for their wedding invitations and table settings.”
I love the lush green backdrop of Knole park and the gorgeous textures of the sheds, leaves and brick wall that Lucy captured alongside the beautiful way she photographed the scale of some of those amazing trees. If either of these two were bothered by the rain, you certainly can’t tell. Congrats to the gorgeous couple and make sure to check out the My Heart Skipped website and blog for more details.

What stunning scenery! I need to take a trip to english country side or the nearest park for that matter to re-zen : )
