Good morning OMG Readers! Hope you are enjoying a lazy Sunday morning. I have a super cool wedding ring concept to share with you today by Patrick Laing. If you’re looking for something a bit different for your wedding bands but like the look of a simple exterior, these are right up your alley. These You & Me rings are cast from your partners finger so you feel like you are always holding hands. The interior of the finished ring holds an impression of your partner’s finger, which in short will encircle yours forever. How cute is that? You can either go to Patrick’s studio in Bloomsbury, London, or order an impression kit and do a bit of DIY at home. The postal kit includes full instructions and moulding materials, along with a ring measurer (a wooden reference ring that models your chosen width and depth) and a robust set of return postage boxes.
Rings are available in a range of precious metals (silver, gold, white gold and platinum), 2 widths of ‘slender’ and ‘broad’ with either a polished or finger tip external surface. I have to admit I had to ask Patrick if they were actually comfortable and his response was “…rest assured they are comfortable, they’re finger shaped obviously, my mother even has a pair she wears every day, that of my sister and I’s fingers (recent christmas presents). You are slightly more aware of wearing them at first, I like that as it emphasises the sentiment,” but then you slowly get used to it and it becomes second nature. Even sweeter a thought.
How’s that for some Sunday swoon? Make sure to check out Patrick Laing’s website as well as his shop on Not on the Highstreet. Have a good one!

Nice idea and I can see the reason for doing it……would be interesting to see what they look like on someones finger.
I really like the contrast between the polished exterior and the fingerprint pattern on the inside. Lovely idea.
yes a nice idea and given they are bespoke and unique the rings are relatively not expensive and the kit is fun to follow with good directions. Cool that they will also be done in stainless steel.
I think these rings are such a beautifully executed, poetic idea. The careful thought put into every detail, right down to the presentation makes them a unique gift with a romantic story and so much more interesting than a mass-produced or ‘perfect’ shaped ring!
