Tuesday Top 10 Colour Block Bridesmaid Dresses

While colour blocking is perhaps, a trend from last season and not necessarily debuting down the catwalk this week in London Fashion Week’s most amazing shows to date, it is still one of my favourite trends. I have been researching for a few features on bridesmaid dresses and once I typed in the word “bridesmaid dress” my results became incredibly filtered, dated and boring. What’s wrong with following the trends on both the highstreet and the catwalk for your favourite girls? Break the rules of matching dresses, and go for pieces that suit your friends’ colouring, personal style and body type so that they feel just as good at your wedding as you do.

I remember when planning my wedding last year, I felt very unfocused in terms of what my bridesmaids were going to look like. First it was all black which felt safe, then it was shades of green, and what it finally ended up being was a beautiful collection of dresses that suited my best friends which they chose themselves to match the colours in our ceremony.

Since then, I’ve of course planned a million different weddings in my imagination, thinking about different styles, colours, decorations – you name it. I’m sure most brides do this!

Anyway, I thought I’d share with you the top 10 colour block dresses that I think would work perfectly for bridesmaids. From high street to haute couture, there is something for everyone here and are by no means traditional.
