Good morning OMG readers! Hope your week is going well. I have the most incredible wedding to share with you today which will hopefully brighten up your day just a little bit. Shot by the lovely Contemporary Wedding and designed by the amazing Boutique Souk wedding planners, today’s ceremony and reception is utterly to die for. I often wish I could have attended the weddings I feature on OMG and this is definitely one of them. The whole vibe of the day just screams cool, funky, stylish and chic.
Today’s bride, Sophie spent the night before the wedding with her maid of honour at a nearby luxury hotel and was joined on the morning of the wedding for bridal preparations, hair, make-up and photography by her mother and 4 other bridesmaids. Poolside of course. Meanwhile the groom Alex enjoyed relaxed preparations with his groomsmen at the venue, soaking up the sun, cooling off in the pool and generally looking awesome.
The two decided on a colour palette of pastels – pinks, lilacs and pistachios with décor details which included: sun parasols, confetti cones and fans with super cute phrases like “call me”. Boutique Souk carried the theme throughout the décor, ceremony flowers, aisle end hanging bouquets and centre table arrangements were all created with 4000 candy pink Atlas roses. Yes 4000.
The couple were dedicated to creating a fun relaxed atmosphere for their guests – the cocktail reception had a Hawaian themed Tiki Cocktail Bar with waiters in Hawaian shirts serving fizz and mojitos to reggae and ska playlists. After dinner the dancefloor area and shisha chill out lounge had boxes of dressing up outfits, and the night finished with the bride joining her guests fully clothed in the swimming pool! UGH-MAZERS.
Sophie looked beautiful in her Delphine Manivet dress from Browns Brides, while her bridesmaids looked equally chic in dresses by Jarlo. Alex and his groomsmen gave the girls a run for their money with their stylish suits, shirts and Grenson shoes
