Good morning OMG readers and happy weekend – we are almost halfway through the dreaded January blues and I have just the thing to cheer you up if you’re feeling them like I am. I have a beautiful engagement shoot brought to you by Wedding Light Photography featuring a super sweet couple Sibylle and Coleman. The two met on a blind date in Seattle a few years ago where they both discovered their love for Paris (Sibylle is half French).
Two and a half years later, the two quit their jobs, rented their homes out in Seattle and flew to Paris with their golden retriever (OMG!) where they planned to “take life each day at a time.” Sibylle says… “I feel fortunate every single day that I found a man who was willing to take a leap of faith, take a pause in his career, and walk hand in hand with me to pursue my dream. Since then, we’ve be lucky to have spent valuable time with my French family and to have had the opportunity to travel through France and Europe.
“While we are getting married in Washington on October 7th, we really wanted to capture our Paris…the Paris we have become so fond of…the Paris that has taught us so much about ourselves and our relationship and my family. We found Wedding Light and I knew I wanted to work with Wedding Light and with Olivier to capture our moments in the city, to document our leap of faith, our engagement.
“When it came to working with Olivier, we enjoyed him from the start. He’s fun, outgoing and so FRANÇAIS! He made us feel comfortable, taught us how to pretend he wasn’t really there and Coleman and I enjoyed our morning with him. It was a gorgeous, quiet Paris morning…before everything opened and before the tourists poured into the streets. It was a special morning for us. Olivier made it fun by being true to his art and being happy for us as a couple with a love story, a bit unique, but filled with love and admiration all the same.”
Le sigh. Such a romantic story and beautifully romantic, natural and very Parisian photos to match. All the best to Sibylle and Coleman and enjoy the weekend!
