Hello OMG readers! I have fabulous news for you. First of all, I’m pleased to share with you some shots from the new Gina Foster Seed Collection for 2013, featuring pieces inspired by Thomas Heatherwick’s (designer of the Olympic cauldron) innovative use of engineering and materials. The hats are named after seeds from Kew’s Millennium Seed Bank that featured in Heatherwick’s ‘Seed Cathedral’, the UK Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.
For the first time Gina has designed three separate ranges within the collection:
Gina Foster Couture – Sculptural and fashion-forward, the individual pieces directly reflect five of Heatherwick’s works: B of the Bang, Gustavino’s in New York, the Cloud Bridge, The Conran Shop window installation and a quirky Christmas card.
Gina Foster Millinery – A chic and sophisticated range interpreting Heatherwick’s multi-disciplinary 3D approach in Gina’s classic style. It is available ready-to-wear as shown, or many of the styles can be made-to-order to ensure the perfect colour match for a specific outfit.
And last by not least, Gina by Gina, an accessible ready-to-wear range, perfect for weddings and races, and available in key seasonal colours.
All of Gina’s hats are available from the Gina Foster Millinery Boutique in Kensington. No appointment is necessary to view the collections so get yourself out there asap!
The second part of my fabulous news is that Gina Foster is hosting a sale starting this Saturday 2nd of Feb through to the 9th of the month where you can find pieces at up to a whopping 70% off a selection of hats and fascinators! Amaze, right? Perfect for bridesmaids, wedding guests or MOBs!
