Good morning OMG readers! If you’re sitting cozy in bed today planning a lazy morning ahead of you, I have just the wedding to share. Brought to you by Becky Male Photography, today’s bride and groom received 5 inches of snow the DAY of their wedding! Can you imagine?! But, this just added to the magic of the day and all 85 of their guests arrived without fail.
Niki and Glen were married in January of this year with their ceremony at St Andrew’s Church in Blagdon and their reception at Coombe Lodge. Glen is a tree surgeon (what a cool job!) and so the two went with an outdoorsy, natural greens, browns and creams theme for their day with lots of tree inspired decorations. Niki’s bridesmaid wore a moss green dress from Dessy and the woodland inspired flowers were by Bramble and Wild. Table centers and stationery were put together by the couple themselves and looked absolutely perfect. You can tell a lot of personal details about the couple went into this big day and it all looks fantastic!
Niki wore a beautiful gown by Essence of Australia and some super sweet flats from Debenhams, while all the men looked fantastic in suits hired from Deans of Cheddar.
Advice from the Bride:
I know everyone says it but make sure you enjoy every moment of the day – it goes so fast. Someone gave us a great piece of advice that you (the bride and groom) should take 5 minutes out every hour or so just to take in the day and all the family and friends you have around you sharing it. It certainly helped us and made us appreciate how lucky we are to have such great friends and family.
Not enjoying the morning of the wedding and getting ready with my bridesmaid more as I was stressing so much about the weather (lots of snow!) and there not being any guests to share the day with us due to them not being able to get to the church in the snow!! It all turned out amazingly in the end so my stresses were just wasted energy when I should have been having fun and enjoying the moments.
Best decision made:
Firstly, getting married! Then opting for a winter wedding and planning everything in 5 months – we would have gone insane if we’d spread it over a longer period and we still managed to add a lot of nice touches that made it very personal to us!
Thanks so much to Becky Male Photography for sharing and have a good one!
