Good morning OMG readers, I have an incredibly beautiful and touching feature to share with you today. I could not be more honored to publish this on OMG. A few weeks ago the gorgeous Amedea of Foley Photography got in touch with me to let me know she had lost a dear friend to a long battle with illness and wanted to dedicate a 1930s style bridal shoot in her memory. She said that her dearest friend, Francesca, had always loved OMG and so she wanted to share these photos with us in an effort to do a series of positive things to honor her loss. Amazing.
Francesca was a very bubbly Italian girl as so in keeping with the spirit of the Venetian Carnival, which begins this month, I would love to share with you a beautiful 1930s style shoot made possible by the Manchester Vintage Collective and shot by Amedea and Scott of Foley Photography.
I really love all the little touches in the shoot, the dress is totally gorgeous and nothing says glam like a perfect red lip. I can’t wait to see what else comes out of this awesome collective of talented people!
The Manchester Vintage Collective is a group of independent small artists/businesses based in the area who have decided to come together and push the innovation and creativity in the industry. Today’s feature took place at the beautiful and classy Manchester Art Gallery, with cupcakes from the Airyfairy Cake Boutique, flowers from Blush Rose, make up by Gorgeous Flawless, hair styling from Adam at Pee Wees, letterpress design by Print for Love of Wood, illustration from Katie Hanratty, table decor and favours from Vintage Twee, tableware and props from Katie at Perfect Days Vintage, textiles by Emily Bucknell, bridalwear from Dress By Dodie and bespoke menswear from Harris and Howard, diamonds by Bud at GIA Diamonds, and hair accessories and jewellry by Michelle (0161 – 9458433).
