A Shabby Chic Tipi Wedding – Hollie & Jonathan

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Today’s feature is a beautiful wedding captured by Lucy Davenport. Newlyweds Hollie and Jonathan were married last year and I could not be more pleased to share their gorgeous day with you.

The day started off with a beautiful ceremony at St Chad’s Church in Poulton-Le-Fylde followed by a ceremony at The Lake, Cleveley Mere in an awesome looking Tipi. The day was styled in a shabby chic, relaxed elegance theme with loads of floral details including hydrangea filled cream birdcages, pearl draped candelabras, tulle chair back bows and mini ‘let the love grow’ oak tree favors – all hand made with lots of help from friends and family. The couple chose to carry through the hydrangea details in their invitations and enlisted the help of of Paper Orchid Stationery to create their lasercut stationery. The cherry on top was of course the cake which was lovingly made by the bride’s auntie at Creative Cake Company.

Hollie wore a stunning Alan Hannah dress, shoes by Nina and a diamond rose outline necklace which was a romantic wedding day surprise from the groom. The bridesmaids looked lovely in their dresses by Goddiva and the whole day just looks like a dream. I say this all the time, but I absolutely love all the shots of the bride getting ready – the curlers, the bridesmaids, the whole anticipation of what’s to come is perfectly captured by Lucy Davenport and a beautiful way to look back on the day.

Advice from the Bride:
It’s important to remember that everyone that is a part of your wedding wants to make your day a big success. Take time to pick the right suppliers for your event, as on the day it should be as important to them and their company reputation that everything runs without a hitch, as it is you. I couldn’t have wished for better suppliers – everyone went over and above to ensure that our event (challenging as it was with just a plot of grass to work with) ran perfectly, which made sure I could concentrate on just having fun!’

Any regrets?
None whatsoever – I will be forever in debt to all of our friends and family that made our day unforgettable.

Best decision made:
Apart from the choice of husband… It has to be the Tipi’s they had the real ‘WOW’ factor – the looks on our guests faces when they arrived were priceless.
