Hello OMG readers! Today’s feature is a beautiful Oakwell Hall wedding brought to you by Chris Sansom of Sansom Photography. The bride and groom, Sarah and Chris, had a beautiful, quirky village fete inspired wedding last year that just makes me want to run off to the great British countryside and walk amongst the hills.
Sarah wore a beautiful dress from Mon Cheri and shoes from Faith accessorised with a pair of blue vintage drop earrings which were the perfect gift from her husband to be. Sarah’s bridesmaids wore dresses from Coast and looked beautiful in pink.
I love all the little vintage inspired details the two chose for their big day, all of which were handmade by the couple and I adore the shots of the groom and his ushers setting up for the big event, hay bales and all! The two also hand picked flowers from their garden and arranged them in jam jars alongside wallpaper table runners and bunting to boot! The stationery was designed by Tom Smith and Becky Long – how cute are the little fans? The couple rounded out the day with games outside the barn and a super cute photo booth.
Advice from the Bride:
Spend money on the things that are important to you both, not what people think you should have. You can’t please everyone – so please yourselves and everyone will jut be happy that you’re happy. Oh and throw the bouquet-such a laugh.
Nope – well not yet anyway!
Best decision made:
Hand picked flowers and homemade decorations- saved a fortune and not like every other wedding
Thanks so much to Sansom Photography for sharing and a have a good one!
