Good morning everyone and welcome to the weekend! Today’s feature is a stunning Canadian barn wedding shot by Nordica Photography. It pretty much ticks all the beautiful boxes one would consider when planning an outdoorsy, naturally gorgeous day and I could not be more pleased to share it with you! The bride, Kate, looked amazing in an Alfred Angelo gown and Steve Madden shoes, finished off by a pair of 3 stone drop diamond earrings borrowed from her best friend (which were handed down to her family from her late grandma). “I was so honoured to wear them,” she said.
The groom, Andy, looked dapper in his Alfred Sung suit. The two chose to make it just the two of them and forewent a bridal party.
All the paper and stationery designs were created by Carolyn Laihow who Kate new from high school and mixed beautifully with all the details the couple arranged for the day. Kate’s brother made all the escort card holders and center pieces from trees from their family at our cabin and the bride and her mother made strawberry jam for the party favours from berries from their farm. All these were highlighted with flowers which were grown and arranged by one of Kate’s best friends’ mom and dad- Kevin & Heather Bowling. The ceremony flowers were by Niki Trading
Advice from the Bride:
Set aside a moment in your very hectic day to be alone with your husband for 10-15 minutes just to soak it all in and enjoy each other and the moment. Before we went over to our reception, Andy & I sat on my parents back porch that over looked the fields and had a beer and it was one of my favorite moments of the day.
Best decision made:
To stick to our guns and have a small, intimate ceremony with immediate family only in a place that was very meaningful to us both. And we loved the idea of our food tent at our reception. Our guests seemed to love it and Sugar Mountain catering did an incredible job.
Thanks so much to Nordica Photography for sharing such a beautiful wedding and enjoy the weekend!
