Good morning OMG readers! I have a beautiful, classic London wedding to share with you on this bright and sunny morning. The bride and groom, Swedish couple Anna & Jonatan, live in London so chose to have their ceremony in a Swedish church in Marylebone followed by a gorgeous reception at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on The Mall. As many of their guests were from out of town, the couple organised a quick tour around London in an iconic Routemaster bus on their way to the reception, making sure they stopped to take a few photos in Trafalgar Square along the way.
Photographer Lucy Davenport says “I was really excited to be a part of Anna and Jonatan’s wedding from our very first meeting. As a Swedish couple, I was looking forward to being a part of their traditions and learning a new flow to the wedding day.
They had found me through an article written about me in a wedding magazine and we were totally on the same page photographically.”
Lucy also helped with some of the planning as Anna & Jonatan were new to London so she recommended the Firmdale Hotels for getting ready, and they chose Number Sixteen, and stayed at the new Dorset Square hotel for their wedding night. I have to admit I’m slightly biased as I happen to have the same wallpaper as shown in the shots from Number Sixteen, but what a difference it makes as a backdrop for Lucy’s beautiful photos!
Anna wore beautiful wedding dress from Pronovias and had her hair and makeup done by Leah Mabe. The couples wedding cake and cupcakes were created by the infamous Peggy Porschen and all the wedding flowers were crafted by The Real Flower Company.
Thanks so much to Lucy Davenport for sharing such a beautiful wedding. Enjoy the rest of your days!
