A Spring Coloured DIY Village Fete Wedding by the Sea – Andy & Katherine

Good evening OMG readers! It’s a double whammy feature today. Fashion in the morning and a beautiful village fete wedding for a bit of inspo before bedtime. Katherine and Andy’s wedding was brought to me by the lovely Sophie of Sophie Hughes Photography. The two were married earlier this summer with their ceremony at Hulne Abbey and their reception held in marquee at The Croft which just so happens to be a gorgeous 5* holiday cottage in Tughall Steads.

The bride and groom chose a spring time theme for her big day, choosing lots of village fete inspired decorations like colourful paper lanterns from The Hanging Lantern Company, jugs of wildflowers from florists at Simply Flowers in Alnwick, a combination of luggage tags, ribbon and rosemary sprigs for the placenames and handmade hessian table runners (from MOB!).

Katherine’s beautiful lace customised dress and shrug were from White Rose at Cheadle Brides and her shoes were from the ever popular Rachel Simpson. She finished her bridal look off with Katherine Swain earrings from Not on the High Street. Andy looked equally fabulous in a suit from Paul Smith.

There are so many super cute things about this wedding that really show how much time and thought went into the details and I really love the colour palette of fresh yellows, oranges and greens – perfect for a summer do!

Thanks so much to Sophie Hughes Photography for sharing and enjoy!
