A DIY Record + Music Themed Wedding at Preston Court – Carly & Stuart

Good evening OMG readers and happy hump day! We are officially just over halfway through the week which means it’s yet another dose of wedding inspiration coming right up! Today’s real wedding is brought to you by Marta and Adi of Contemporary Wedding Photography and took place at the ultra gorgeous and ornate Preston Court in Cantebury. Whenever I see a wedding at this venue, I get excited about it all over again. The lush green outdoors area, the occasional peacock strutting about, and the super beautiful indoor space with the killer decorative backdrop. LOVE IT.

Today’s bride and groom, Carly and Stuart, didn’t necessarily start off planning and designing their wedding with a theme in mind, but immediately gravitated towards using music and records for their decor as music is a huge part of both of their lives. Carly says “I love crazy colours with a retro twist so just made it up as I went along!” Amaze. Its clear the two spent a lot on designing their big day to suit their personalities – I particularly love the DIY table centers and the super sweet cake buffet. I mean having one cake was so 2012. (JK!)

Carly looked amazing in her killer Annasul Y dress, accessorized by Miu Miu wedding shoes for the ceremony and Vivienne Westwood shoes for reception. I love a bride that demands a shoe change! Fabulous! Stuart looked equally dashing in his blue Reiss suit and very chic specs. The bridesmaids all wore neutral tone dresses from French Connection and shoes from Carvella.

Advice from the Bride:
The day goes sooo quickly… Make the most of every moment

Any regrets?
None… It was perfect

Best decision made:
Having a post- wedding group mini moon in Ibiza. You don’t get a chance to speak to everyone properly on the day so it’s really nice to spend some time with people afterwards ( and keep on celebrating!)

Thanks so much to Contemporary Wedding Photography for sharing such a beautiful wedding – enjoy!
