A Rustic, Laid Back Summer Wedding at the Folly Farm Centre – Ria & James

Today’s beautiful wedding is brought to you by the lovely Joseph Hall and features the gorgeous couple Ria and James in their relaxed, rustic wedding at The Folly Farm Centre in Bristol. The two were married earlier this year and their day looks like the perfect summer wedding – chilled out, fun and full of sun – which is never a guarantee in England! Ria created many of the decorations herself including the pig and cow table decorations. The bouquets and flower displays in jugs were designed by Classic Flower Designs Bristol and added to the super laid back vibe of the day.

Ria looked dazzling in her Jenny Packham wedding dress – I just love the detailing in the shoulders and the sparkly semi transparent cape that matches her headpiece perfectly. There’s nothing like a bit of sparkle to add that extra bit of whimsy to an already magical day. Ria accessorised her big day look with a bracelet from Goldsmiths which was a gift from her father, custom made fingerprint wedding rings by Ness Bird Jewellery and an elaborate headpiece also by Jenny Packham. James looked equally handsome in his suit from A Suit That Fits. The bridesmaids complimented the couple in dresses from Two Birds and the stationery was created by The Original Wedding Tea Towel Company

Jewellery worn:
Bracelet from Goldsmiths (gift from father of the bride), fingerprint wedding rings custom made by Ness Bird Jewellery, headdress- Jenny Packham, earrings- high street

Advice from the Bride:
It’s the classic one really- it goes by so quickly so really take time to enjoy it! Also I would advise anyone to keep an open mind, I would never have tried my dress if I wasn’t ‘prompted’ at the bridal boutique. Most importantly don’t try to do everything- trust other people to help.

Any regrets?
None! It was a truly amazing weekend. Although…I do wish I had eaten more of the food!

Best decision made:
Aside from our beautiful venue I think it would be our RSVP competition. We sent our guests tea towel invites and challenged them to top us in the creativity stakes (there was a selection of prizes). We had some funny, beautiful, thoughtful and totally unique replies – things we will always cherish. We also had a charity wedding list for Cancer Research and were so touched by the donations received. We were so happy in general with all the suppliers we choose who made our day perfect.

Thanks very much to Joseph Hall for sharing such a beautiful wedding!
